男の船出（re:日本一周#二年目スタート）

東京地方の天気は晴れ

午前10時、1人の男が家族と近所の人たちに見送られて、東京港フェリーターミナルに向けて走り出した

自転車日本一周 2年目の夏が始まる

2016年は自宅の埼玉から日本最南端 沖縄の波照間島まで走った

そして2017年は 本土最南端 鹿児島県の佐多岬からひたすら北へ 本州最北端の青森 大間崎を目指す

そんな2017年のスタート地点鹿児島に行くのに、なぜ東京港に向かうの？って疑問に思った人もいるかもしれない

実際飛行機も新幹線も通じているのに…

そう。ヨコイシは「船旅」という名のロマンを味わってみたかったが為に、わざわざフェリーという選択肢を選んだのだ

しかも東京から鹿児島まで直通のフェリーは無い。なんと3回もフェリーを乗り継ぎして鹿児島まで向かうという、超非効率アンド非常識なロマンを追い求めようというバカな男になっていたのだ（確実に自転車日本一周を始めてから頭のネジが何本か飛んでいってる）

詳しい行き方はこうだ

①7/29 午後6時 東京港発 翌朝30日の昼に徳島着

②7/30 午後4時 徳島港発 午後6時和歌山港着

③7/30-31 和歌山で一泊

④7/31 和歌山から大阪まで80キロ自転車で走り、午後6時のフェリーで大阪港発のフェリーに乗り込む

⑤8/1 午前9時 鹿児島県志布志港に到着

なんてこった。改めてこうして見るとやっぱりあの時の俺はおかしい。確実に頭のネジが何本か飛んで行って、残りのネジもガバガバに緩んでいるではないか。

とにかく！！

まずは東京港に向かう為に7/29の朝に走り始めて向かう

東京港では大学の親友が見送りに来てくれた

親友たちに激励のメッセージを書いたハチマキを受け取り、自転車に巻きつける

そしていよいよフェリーに乗り込む時間

という時に突然のゲリラ豪雨

別れを惜しむ時間も無く、急いでフェリーターミナルに向かうことになった

毎年、初日は荒れるというジンクスはこの時に生まれることになる

ゲリラ豪雨は嵐のように強くなったが、フェリーは止むのを待ってはくれない

ずぶ濡れになりながらフェリーのスロープを勇敢に上がり、いよいよ船出だ

すぐに冷えた体を癒す為に、フェリー唯一の楽しみと言っていいかもしれないオーシャンビューのお風呂に浸かって、ふと窓の外を見ると隅田川花火大会の花火が打ち上がっていた

どうやらもう雨も止んだらしい

ここから3日後の8月1日

いよいよ山あり谷あり、熊あり？の超絶怒涛の2年目が始まる

ということで振り返りにはなるけど、アメブロの時よりは面白く書けるように頑張るので、是非暇つぶしに2年目のブログも見てほしい
