未知との遭遇（徒歩日本縦断#56）

56日目の今日は滋賀の竜王町にある道の駅かがみの里で起床

昨晩の恐怖の事件のせいで若干夜が怖かったけど、道の駅公認で屋根付きの広い場所で寝かせていただいたのもあって割とぐっすり眠れた。

しかもこの道の駅は夜間第一駐車場が閉鎖になるので、車のうるささも一切なく、なかなか高ポイントな道の駅だった。

そんな今日はいよいよ京都へ上洛する

ちなみに京都ではインターンで出会った京大の友達の家に2泊して存分に満喫する予定だ

ということで、まずは滋賀をひたすら南へ

道の駅を出て本当にすぐに野洲に入る。

そしてここからの国道8号は昨日と同じくひたすら幹線道路。なんならこのあと野洲→栗東→草津→大津とひたすらビッグタウンが続く

特に写真を撮るものも無く、「あー街がでかいな」なんて思いながらテクテク歩いて栗東へ

栗東では遅めの朝ごはんを少し豪勢に牛丼屋で済ませて、テクテクテクテク

守山駅は今年の春に青春18切符で旅してた時にネカフェに泊まったから記念にパシャり

栗東を越えて草津に入る直前に、国道8号は終わって国道1号に入る。いよいよ東海道だ。

そんな国道1号に合流する時に高架橋のように高い場所を通らされたんだけど、まさかの工事で一車線規制になってる中をおじさんの先導で500mほど走ることになってしまう

いやぁこのおじさんもまさか500m走らされるとは思ってなかったろうな笑

白い旗を振りながら先導してくれるおじさんとそれに着いていく横石がシュールすぎて申し訳ないけど笑ってしまった。カモの親子みたいだった。

そんな国道1号の悲劇も乗り越えて、無事に草津へ入る

草津ではしばらく国道を南下してから県道にそれて近江大橋を越えればいよいよ県庁所在地の大津だ

近江大橋は琵琶湖を渡る綺麗な橋だった。

新潟以来海をまだみていない久しぶりにこういう橋を渡った気がする

そして琵琶湖の真ん中でいよいよ県庁所在地のある大津へ

大津に入ってから5キロほど歩いて市街地を抜けて、そこからまた5キロほど山道を登る

すると遂に

そう、遂に

京都に入ったのだ！！！

日本最北端の地から上洛なんて戦国武将たちもびっくりだろう。

北海道を歩いてる時なんて自分が京都まで歩いて辿り着けるなんて実感も出来ない夢物語だったけど、遂にその夢が叶ったのだ。

そして京都に入ってからはとりあえず京大を目指して歩く。

観光は明日たっぷり出来るので、今日はまず京都に着いて無事友達と合流するのが最優先なのだ

ということでそのまま夕方5時に京都大学に着いて友のりょうとと合流。

そこから家に向かいがてら京大ツアーを開いてくれた

まずはかの有名な熊野寮へ

「The学生寮」感がすごい

でも京大生らしい頭のいい一面もあり

なんというか、北海道のライダーハウスを思い出してしまった。

このごちゃごちゃした異様な生活感と、ここだけにしかない空気感。斜里のクリオネや美瑛の蜂宿を初めてみたときと同じ衝撃だ

次はこれも有名な吉田寮へ

そしてこれが一番衝撃だったのだが、入り口には男女4人くらいのいかにもスラム出身ですみたいな威圧感のグループがいて、旅行客である横石は他所者としてめちゃめちゃ睨みつけられた笑

雰囲気は本当に京都ど真ん中にこんなスラムある？！そんな感じだ。

でも「聖域を荒らすな」という目で睨まれたので写真は撮れずに撤退

そこからりょうとに案内されて裏に回ったのだが

これよこれ、やばくない？もう歴史の遺構だよこれは。

そしてこの渡り廊下の味の深さ

りょうと曰く、吉田寮に入寮した新入生はこぞって最初の1週間に埃で風邪を引くので「吉田病」と言われているらしい。笑

むしろここで寝るなら自分のテントで野宿したほうがマシな気もする。笑

でもこんなところで過ごす学生生活も素敵だろうなぁ…

本当に半世紀前の学生に戻った気分だろう

ボロッボロのアパートで貧乏学生が下宿するという小説にありがちなストーリーそのままの世界がそこには広がっていた

ちなみに寮の庭にはニワトリがいて（ダジャレではない）朝5時になると鳴くらしい。もはやネタでしかない。初めて来たのに京都大学の学生たちにひどく愛着が湧く。旅人より旅人みたいな生活してるじゃねぇかこいつら（あくまでここに住んでるのは京大生の一部です）

そんな衝撃の世界を覗いてからは

やっと本題。京都大学のキャンパスへ

熊野、吉田寮からは想像も出来ない綺麗さだし、ここに通いたい（通う頭はない）

タテカンがズドーーンと立つ正門前

横にはジャグリングしてる生徒たちがいたり、まさに自由な校風そのままだった

横石の頭では明治大学で精一杯だけど、どうか裏口入学があったら入学させてくださいお願いします。吉田寮の覇者となるので、お願いします。ニワトリの世話なら任せてください。毎日たまごシコタマ取ってきます（ダジャレではない）

そんな京大ツアーを終えて、家に荷物を置いてからは近くの銭湯へ

素晴らしく味のある銭湯

8日ぶりの湯船で体は蕩けた

これもりょうとが「疲れてるだろうから」って気を使って連れてきてくれたのだ

そして夜ご飯は、なんとりょうと特性カレー

なんかもう、彼女にしたいわ…

美味しすぎて、久しぶりにお腹いっぱいになって、本当に幸せだった

疲れてるからと本当に気を使って色々してくれたりょうと、本当にありがとう！！

今日は朝いくらでも寝てられるので、とりあえず1週間溜まった疲れをしっかり癒して、いよいよ明日は京都を観光して、楽しみたいと思います！！それではまた！！
