爆速の男（徒歩日本縦断#58）

京都での朝は早い

りょうとの家で5時に起床し、5時半には出発

「二日間は京都を楽しみながらゆっくり休んでくれ」と料理を作ってくれたり、京都を案内してくれたりょうと！本当にありがとう。

そんな今日は京都を抜けて大阪の中心まで、48キロの道のりだ（この後先輩の家に泊めてもらうんだけど、その歩く距離を合わせると51キロになるけど）

ということで先輩の家がある新大阪へ向かってまだ真っ暗な5時半に歩き出す

りょうとには京都大学から京都駅までの5キロほどは「ぜひ鴨川の河原を歩いてほしい」と言われたので、そのおすすめに従って鴨川沿いへ

朝の空気の中でランニングをする老若男女、朝練をする高校生、発声練習をする人たち…鴨川は京都の人たちの生活の一部となっているのが垣間見える。京都は古く綺麗な町並みも素敵だが、それ以上に鴨川沿いの愛されている、そんな雰囲気がひどく気に入ってしまった

有名な三条大橋も朝焼けの町の中で荘厳な雰囲気を醸し出す。

ちなみに三条大橋は東海道五十三次の終点となる、そんな橋だ。歴史は古く、豊臣秀吉の時代に架けられたと言われている。

ちなみに

三条大橋にある擬宝珠の中には新撰組の名が世に轟いた幕末の大事件である池田屋事件の際に切りつけられた刀傷がある。ぜひ京都を訪れた際は探してみてほしい。隠れミッキー的な感じで。

そんな歴史の遺構も楽しみながら、雰囲気抜群の鴨川沿いをひたすら進む。

ランニングしてる人や部活の高校生と爽やかな挨拶を交わしながら歩いていると、不思議とペースも上がるし飽きない。

なんて言いながらも鴨川が良すぎて立ち止まってぼんやりしてたら5キロに1時間半もかかってしまった笑

サラリーマンが行き交う午前7時に京都駅へ

京都駅から西へ少し行ったところに横石が京都に来て一番寄りたかったところがある

それがここ

京都の東寺である

ここにきた理由は弘法大師様ゆかりのお寺で、祀られているから

そう、これから横石が四国で始める八十八ヶ所お遍路は弘法大師様の修行の道でもあり、そんな八十八ヶ所の霊場を巡るに当たって京都の東寺で祀られている弘法大師様にご挨拶をしてから四国八十八ヶ所を始めるのが一番良い作法なのだ。

ということで弘法大師様への祈願所である御影堂へ

残念ながら御影堂は現在修復工事中となっていたので仮御影堂にて祈願を済ませる

「これからお遍路で弘法大師様の修行の道を辿っていきます」そう決意を伝えることが出来た

京都で一番やりたかったことを終えて、満足した横石。寄り道して遅かったペースを少し上げながら、京都市を出て向日市、長岡京市へと歩く

京都→大阪をつなぐ国道は流石に交通量も多い幹線道路なので、こうやって陸橋がたくさん待ち構えている。

陸橋は徒歩旅の大敵だ。

なんせ重い荷物を背負って一番嫌なのが階段の登り降りなのだから。

それを強制的にしなければならない陸橋は都会を旅する上で大きな障壁になる

仕方なく陸橋の登り下りを幾度となく繰り返しながら大阪方面へ歩いていると、コンビニから出てきたバイクの青年に声をかけられる

「北海道のオトンルイ風力発電所で出会いましたよね？…」

自信なさげに訪ねてきたが、横石の記憶にもその顔は確かにあった。

そう！オトンルイ風力発電所の側の休憩所で確かに出会った一個下のバイク日本縦断していた二人組の大学生のうちの1人だったのだ！

いやぁこんな奇跡あるんだろうか笑

そして大阪に入ったところではもう1人の相方くんも、これまた愛車のバイクで「よーだいさん！！」と元気よく会いに来てくれた

北海道で偶然出会った旅人たちが、今度は全く違う土地で再会する。なんて素敵な話だろうか。実際、2人と会えたことで元気が湧いてきて、そのあと歩くペースもぐんぐん上がった。

本当にありがとう！！2人とも！

また今度は東京来てくれよな！そしたらお酒でも飲みながら旅の話に花咲かそうや！

そんな奇跡的な出会いに本当に元気をもらった横石。時速5.5キロのペースで歩き続けて（幹線道路に観光する場所もないしね笑）、あっという間に大阪へと入る。

いよいよ日本最北端から歩いて西日本の大都市大阪まで来てしまった…少し感慨深いものがある…

そしてここでもまた出会いが

後ろから赤い原付が止まって

片言の日本語ではあるが「どこから来たのですか？」と声をかけてくれた人がいた

後ろを振り返ってその子と少し話すと、どうやら中国からの留学生で、九州から北海道まで原付で日本縦断をしているらしい

国境を越えて絆が生まれてしまった…

やっぱり国は違っても旅に対する熱い気持ちは変わらないのが本当に嬉しくて…最後は2人ともがっちり握手を交わしてお互いの旅の無事を祈った。

なんだ今日は…元気の出る出会いが多すぎやしないか？？

48キロという長丁場で、しかも都会の味気ない幹線道路をひた歩くとあって、正直あまり気乗りしない1日だったのに、一気に歩くのが楽しくて、どこまででもいけそうなくらい身体は軽かった

爆速の勢いで、しかも休憩もナシで、スタートから気づけば25キロを歩き

超ベッドタウンである高槻へ

関東の人にわかりやすく言えば、川崎みたいな感じだ。

普通に方言が無かったら「あれ？関東戻ってきちゃった？！」みたいな親近感のある道をひたすら歩く。なおこのあと写真はほぼない。（だって撮る場所ないし）

そして午後5時半。

予定より1時間は早く新大阪へ

やはり人の力は強い。

本当にありがとう今日出会ってくれたみんな

新大阪で先輩が仕事を終えるのを待ってこれから飲みにいくぞー！！
