四国一周作戦開始（re:日本一周#12）

12日目の今日は道の駅今治湯之浦温泉で起きた

そろそろ旅に出てから2週間というのもあって、野宿にもだいぶ慣れてきた

いかに人に見られないか？

軒下はあるか？

なんて色んな目線から「あ、ここなら野宿しやすそーだな」なんてなぞの能力が備わってきたおかげで、今日の道の駅でも駐輪場の裏手の誰にも見られない場所で爆睡していた

そんな今日は香川へ向かう

香川で、帰省している大学の友達と合流する予定もあって楽しみな1日だった

そんな12日目の道のり

今日から四国一周がスタートするとあって気合も充分だ

ちなみに明日から中学高校と同級生のカイトという男が四国一周編に合流するので、そこらへんも含めてワクワクしていた。

とりあえず今日は道の駅を出てから、西条市→新居浜市→四国中央市と工業地帯と里山の入り乱れる地域を走っていく

赤とんぼが飛び交う田んぼは、すっかり黄金色のこうべをしていた。

ヒトよりカカシの方が多いんじゃ？と思うくらいの里山を走る

ここがふるさとでも無いのに、どこか懐かしく感じてしまう。きっと古くからある田舎の風景を懐かしく感じてしまうのは、日本人のDNAレベルで「ふるさとの風景」が刷り込まれているのかな？だから懐かしく認識してしまうのかな？ってこの時思った

大都会東京だって、たかだか100年前はふるさとの風景がそこにあったんだから、そんなDNAレベルのロマンがあったって不思議じゃ無いよね

道ばたのお地蔵さんには暑いからって帽子が被せてあった。

東京には無い、大切な優しさがそこにあった

優しくて、心が温まって、やんわりしたものに包まれた気分だった

そんな大切ななにかをたくさん感じながら、気づけば次の県である香川県へ

そしてこの観音寺市で大学の友人であるユウキと待ち合わせ

実家におじゃますると、快く「シャワーも浴びていいよ！洗濯もするから！」とおっしゃってくれて、お言葉に甘えることに

そして、洗濯を乾燥させてる間に、お母さんに連れて行ってもらって、はじめての本場讃岐うどんをご馳走に

美味しすぎた…

そしてなにより安くてうまいという最高のクオリティが香川では当たり前なのを知った

同じ日本でも色んな場所で色んな美味しいものがあるのは、常識としては知っていても、実感としては分からないことだった

そんな絶品のうどんをご馳走になった後は、ユウキの家に戻っておとんやおかんと色んな話をした。こうやって日本中に大切な人たちが出来ていくっていうのもとても素敵ことだなぁと思った。大切にしたい繋がりが積み重なっていく…

ちなみにこの後もユウキのおかんとは東京でご飯を食べたり、交流が続いている

最後にユウキとぱしゃり

そんな時間を楽しんだ後は、45キロ先の無料キャンプ場に向かって走り始める

たっぷり休ませてもらって、美味しいうどんもご馳走になったおかげで、パワーが出すぎて2時間で辿り着いた

今日はこのキャンプ場で寝る

明日はいよいよこれから3年間続く伝説の男2人旅が始まろうとしていた

走行距離 122キロ

愛媛県今治市→香川県高松市

総走行距離 1467キロ
