雨は止むだろうか

115日目の今日は読谷村のゲストハウス月と海で起きてからひたすら空模様と睨めっこ

午前8時まではひどかった雨だが、10時にもなると少し小康状態に

ここぞとばかりにお世話になったゲストハウスを飛び出して歩き始めた

「ゲストハウス月と海」さん。本当に素敵な空間をありがとうございます！

小康状態といえど、雨は雨

そして風は特に酷くて、「台風かな？」とたまに勘違いしてしまうほど

今日は那覇までの25キロしか歩かないし、道のりもひたすら幹線国道の58号を南下するだけなので、市街地の道のりだ。雨さえなんとかなればーという勢いでのんびり雨宿りしながら歩く

読谷村を出てからすぐに基地で有名な嘉手納町

そして隣町の北谷町へ（ちゃたんって読むよ、読めないよねこれ絶対）

嘉手納町と北谷町は世界でも五本の指に入るという広大な基地が広がっている。

特に北谷町は「アメリカンビレッジ」という文字通りアメリカンナイズドされた街並みが続いて、道行く人も日本人よりアメリカ人の方が多いほどだ。タトゥーのお店なども立ち並び、「あれ？？ここ日本？」と本気で錯覚してしまうような街並みが続いていた。

北谷町に入ってからは道のりもだいぶ都会に。

那覇まであと15キロほどだが、本格的に近づいてきた感覚がわかる

そして昼ご飯は

沖縄といえばやっぱりこれ！のA &Wへ

名物ルートビアは三年前に飲んでから久し振りだが、北海道に行ってから改めて飲むと、ガラナをさらに癖強くしたバージョンという感じだった。本当に薬の味笑笑

もちろんハンバーガー自体は美味い。けどバーガーキングの方が多分美味い…

A&Wに来ることは沖縄の行事だから、美味しいとかそういうのは置いといてとりあえず行事をクリアして、ひたすら幹線道路を歩く

そのまますぐに宜野湾市→浦添市を過ぎて

もう那覇はすぐそこだった

正直、この道のりで、今日の天気の悪さで、横石は風景を楽しみにしていたわけではない。どっちかというと楽しみなのは沖縄のご飯とお酒だ。

ということで那覇に着いてから、今日は応援してくださっているフォロワーさんがゲストハウスを取ってくださったのでそのゲストハウスに向かって、

ゆうこさんの手料理の絶品沖縄そばととオリオンビールで乾杯！

軟骨まで溶けたこの肉と素朴な沖縄そばがなんともいえないハーモニー。

大根、昆布などおでんの中の具とソーキ汁がよく噛み合って絶品だ。なによりお酒が進む

さらにオリオンビール500缶2本とスト缶のような強いオリオン酎ハイ1本で気合は十分。

素敵なお時間を夕方から過ごさせていただき、そのままゆうこさんとお別れして夜の沖縄中心街、国際通りに乗り込む

はいきたぁぁ！

国際通りはとにかく安い

千べろという、いわゆる千円でベロベロになるでぇという飲み屋だが、普通東京では一杯に一品か二杯に一品なところ。

沖縄では三杯に一品の超コスパ良しの店ばっかりで

雰囲気も満点。

いやぁこれは飲むしかないでしょう！

これもまた国際通りで旅を応援してくださっているトモさんと合流して乾杯！

せんべろは千円払うと三杯分の花札や王冠を渡されてそれと引き換えにお酒を飲むしくみだ

梯子をして、ただでさえ夕方から飲んでいたダメ人間は久し振りに酒に酔ってしまった

まぁ今までの旅は「べろんべろんになってはいけない！次の日朝早くから歩けない！」と気持ちが張っていたので飲みすぎたことはなかったが、明日は、というか沖縄はもうそんなに歩か距離があるような大きさではないし、なおかつやっぱりこうやってゆっくり飲む島時間を味わっておきたかったから。

うん。旅の最後は好きなようにゆっくり楽しむことにしようと思う。毎日50キロ歩いてたお遍路のあの日々を思い出しながら、北海道のスタートを2人で歩いた日々を思い出しながら、今は南の国でゆっくり旅をしたいと思う。
