旅が「旅」になってくる（徒歩日本縦断#11）

昨晩の夜はキャンプ場に天塩のライダーハウスで出会ったバイクで日本一周中のゆーたが、北海道を出る前に来てくれて最後の晩餐

今日だけは豪勢にサッポロクラシックとジンギスカンで乾杯

夕方、涼しい風に吹かれながらビールとジンギスカンなんてこんなに贅沢あっていいのか？！ってくらいの贅沢さを詰めこんだ感じだ

「北海道」という土地を一気に味わった

そしてジンギスカンの残り汁とガーリック醤油などで味付けした手作りパスタをシェフ横石が作ったが、これめちゃくちゃ美味かった

自画自賛が止まらなくなるほどに美味かった笑

そして夜が更けてきたら

焚き火しながら語らい合う

本来絶対合わないはずの同い年が北海道という地で奇跡の出会い。気づけば一緒に風呂に入って同じ火を囲んで乾杯。不思議な出会いだけど間違いなく今年の北海道で一番最高な出会いだった気がする

てかキャンプってこんなに楽しかったっけ？

今まで生きるための「野宿」は100回以上積み重ねてきたけど、こんなにキャンプっぽいキャンプは初めてな気がする…

素敵な時間をありがとうゆーた！

そして朝はゆーたの日本一周の無事を願って見送り、2人はまた歩き始める

今日は札幌の隣町当別まで30キロの道のり

ドン曇りの天気の中歩いていると

あらいい感じのホーム

さらに歩いていると

あらいい感じの駅舎

北海道にはノスタルジックな心をくすぐられるような駅が本当に多い。

今俺らが辿っている札沼線は来年には廃線になるらしく、今年が最後の一年だ。

こんなに素敵な路線が無くなるのは少し寂しい

地元の方たちも名残惜しそうにさみしいと語っていた

「最後の一年に来れてよかった」

思いを馳せながら札沼線沿いを歩く

当別町に入ると道路が二車線になって整備されてきた。

いよいよ札幌が近づいてきたと実感する

でも相変わらず周囲は田園風景で、

道端には

田んぼの農薬使用によって近年激減してきた「ガムシ」が落ちてたりする。

こいつがいるということは北海道の田んぼがあまり農薬を使用せずしっかりとお米を育てている証拠だ。

そんな昆虫採集の楽しみも味わいながら歩いていると

いつのまにか晴れてきた

というか快晴になってきた

こうなるとテンションが上がる

優しいおばさんに差し入れもらってさらにテンション上がる

テンションが上がって、いい歳して田んぼの縁を歩いてみたり

テントウムシと遊んでみたり

歩き旅でしかできないような楽しみを満喫する

多分旅の方法は無限大にあるけど、1番自然と近くなるのは歩き旅な気がする。

風は強めで歩くのは少し大変だったけど、そんな日に田んぼを歩くと稲穂が波を打つから素敵だったりする

当別川を渡ると

少し中に入って土手を散歩

北海道らしい牧草ロール転がる畑を右手に見ながらゆっくり進む

雲は蜘蛛の巣みたいに伸びていて思わず上を見上げる

ふと左を見れば一面に黄色い花。立ち止まって匂いを吸い込む

北海道は何もないけど、右も左も上も下も。どこを見ても退屈しない素敵な場所だ

これこそThe北海道な風景

というか今日は昨日の夜からいいご飯にいいお酒にいい風景にって、本当に北海道を満喫している気がする。

歩くことに慣れてきたからだろうか。少しずつ周りを振り返る余裕が生まれてきて、旅が「旅」になってきていることを実感する

そして気づけば今日の目的地

道の駅とうべつ

ここは一昨年作られたらしくめちゃくちゃ綺麗な道の駅だ

いい感じの広場もあるし、今日はここでひっそりと休みたいと思う…
