8月は夢花火（徒歩日本縦断#21）

21日目の今日は森町の道の駅で起床。

朝5時半にタクマから「よーだい起きてる？」と言われてテントから出ると衝撃の光景が広がっていた

お分かりだろうか…

タクマの持ち物全て、びっしょびしょで見るも無残な姿に成り果てている

どうやら夜中の雨でテントが5センチも浸水したようだ。確かに強い雨だったが、横石は浸水していない。理由を聞くとどうやらテントのフライヤーを反対にして寝ていたようだ…

返す言葉も無いくらいのイージーミスだが、高価なパソコンや撮影機材全てが浸水。寝袋も服もびしょ濡れだった。

逆にフライヤーを裏に張った上に5センチ浸水するまで気づかないタクマもタクマだが、それ以上に被害総額○十万という悲惨さで目も当てられない。

もはや「少しでも旅で気をぬくと大惨事になる」ということを高い授業料を払って学んだ。と落とし所をつけるしか無い。

いつまでも落ち込んでても仕方ないので、出発。今日は22キロ先の東大沼キャンプ場までだ

今日は幸いにも濡れた寝袋を乾かすにはちょうどいい晴天

久しぶりに晴れた北海道は暑くなった

国道5号を函館方面に向かうと、左手には北海道駒ケ岳の雄大な姿が…

見えなかった…

ちょうど頂上付近だけ雲に隠れていたようだ…

少し惜しいが、それでも夏が戻ってきた北海道は昨日の大雨を乗り越えた横石たちにとって最高の贅沢だった

夏はこの先にある

昨日凍えていたのが嘘のように暑い

水たまりの中のせかい

水たまりには夏空が反射する。

この暑い1日で多分この水たまりは蒸発してしまう。だけどしっかり夏を写してくれている

そんな虚構でしかない…刹那の夏がどうやら好きだ

全てを反転させて写してしまう。デタラメな世界に惹かれてしまう。これこそ夏じゃないか！だって夏ってなんでも出来そうじゃん？「普段は奥手な君も海に行けばナンパできるかも？！」「可愛いあの子を花火に誘えるかも？！」

ほらね、夏は自分の中の自分を反転させてくれるでしょ？？

この世の中の不条理全てを反転させて、ただ美しい夏が一つ一つの水たまりの中にある

一瞬しかない美しさがそこにはあるから、せめて横石だけは目に留めておきたい。この世界でこんなに美しい世界があるのに、誰も見向きもしないまま蒸発するなら横石が見ておきたい。そんな気持ちでいつも水たまりを見ている。

そんなことを思いながら夏の道を歩いていたら、売店のおばちゃんに

中山峠で出会ってから、応援していただいているご家族の方がわざわざ往復300キロ？かけて激励に駆けつけてくれたのだ！！

思えば豊浦を出た時も朝、差し入れを持って見送ってくれたが、まさかこんなところで再会できるとは…

優しさに胸が熱くなる

こんな時に感情をそのまま声に出せて伝えられたらいいのに！！

言葉っていうのは難しいもので、本当に伝えたい思いほど言葉にするのは難しい

こんなに胸が熱く感謝しているのに「ありがとうございました」で片付いてしまう自分の語彙力が嫌になってしまうが、本当に「ありがとうございました！！」

たくさんの差し入れと、リヤカー山田くんへの反射材。そして2人への反射ベルトまで頂いてしまった。

しかも差し入れは

函館名物ラッキーピエロのチャイニーズチキン丼（本当に美味しすぎて涙出そうだった）

そして

ラッキーピエロのガラナ！！

完璧な布陣を敷いて横石たちを探し出していただいた。

旅人としてこれほど嬉しい差し入れのコンボがあるだろうか？太鼓の達人だったら鬼をフルコンボだ。

無事にゴールにたどり着いてもう一度感謝を伝えるのが今の自分たちにできる精一杯の恩返しだと思いながら、別れを惜しみ歩き出す

そして今日のキャンプ場へ

ここ、東大沼公園キャンプ場は去年から横石が訪れたかったが訪問できなかった場所で、今年こそとタクマを連れてきてしまった

前々から旅人仲間に「ここはいいぞぉ」と言われ続けてきた場所にやっとこれたけど

最高のロケーションの湖畔に無料でキャンプを張れるのは確かに最高だ。

先程いただいた差し入れを噛み締めながら食べて、今日は昨日と打って変わって贅沢な日になった。

ちなみにタクマの朝の事件だが、結局パソコンは戻らなそうだが、他の心配だったものは軒並み大丈夫だった！一安心一安心、、

朝の沈んだ空気も、今日1日の夢のような風景と出会いで少しは晴れた気がした。そんな1日だった。
