旅人の聖地（徒歩日本縦断#33）

33日目の今日は由良の海沿いの東屋で起床

夜は風が強すぎて寝れたもんじゃなかった

テントは直角に倒れるし、テントを抑えながら寝ようと思ったけど寝れるわけもなく。

午前2時くらいに風が少し治るまではほぼ仮眠状態で過ごす。寝不足やー。

そんなこともあり今日は20キロ先の道の駅あつみまで。歩く距離を少なめにして半休養日とする

そんな今日のみちのり

天気予報は雨マークがちらついていたが、曇り

雨も降らなそうな雲なので、とりあえず進む

進む…

特に曇りなので写真も撮らずもくもくと

すると道端にあるカフェの二階から店長らしき女性に声をかけられる

「ちょっと待ってて！」と言われて下に降りてくるのを待っていると

ジュースを頂く

「何の目的があるの？」と聞かれて

「目的というか、歩きたかったんです。今までは自転車で旅をしていて、次はもっとゆっくりでも、自分の足で日本を踏みしめて進んで、苦しくても前向いて、いろんな風景をじっくり見て、こうやっていろんな人とお話しして…だからこの旅自体が目的なんです」

そんなことを言ったら気づけばその女性は泣いていた。横石は人に泣かれるほどの話をしたかは分からない。だけどこの旅で何か人の心を動かせるなら、泥臭くても前に進んでいく姿を見てなにか感じ取ってくれている人がいるなら…少しでも前に進んでいる意味になるんじゃないかと思った。

色々なことを考えていたら時間が経っていた

気づけば今日の目的地に到着する

ここ道の駅あつみは自転車旅の時にも泊まらせていただいたが、24時間解放の畳の休憩所やシャワーがあって、まさに旅人の聖地なのだ

まぁ早く着いたのでとりあえず道の駅裏の海で釣りをする

完全に岩場なのでロックフィッシュ狙い

周りの釣り人さんにアドバイスをもらいながら穴釣りだ

結果はめちゃくちゃ食いつかれるのにどうしても釣り上げるとこまでいかなくて、無残にルアーが全部食べられて終了。なかなか難しいもんだな。

まぁでも自然と遊ぶこと自体楽しいから、やっぱり釣りとか虫取りはだいすきなんだよな。

出来るだけ自然と同じ目線で旅をしたい

そんなこと思いながら道の駅に戻ってふと来た道を見ると

いつのまにか青空が広がっていた

ふと思う。宗谷岬から歩き始めてもう1000キロなのかと。

いつのまにかこんな遠くまで歩いてた

そして思う

旅をするのに目的も理由もいらないと

ただ単に進むのが好きなんだと

どこまでも遠くに、渡り鳥みたいに。

太陽が沈んでいくのをぼーっとみる

夕日は海に一本の道を作って、まっすぐ伸びる

昼間は断片的で眩しくて見えない光の粒が、それはそれは優しい光の塊になってまっすぐに目に届く。

夕日が沈むのなんて当たり前のことなのに、なんでこんなに心が動かされるんだろう

東京にいるときは夕日なんて「眩しいなぁ」くらいにしか思わないのに。そんな自分が少し嫌になる。

いつだって夕日を見て綺麗だと思える人でありたい。疲れていても夕日を見て、なにかを感じられる人になりたい。

夕日が海に沈むと、見物客はみんな帰ってしまった

「もったいないなぁ、ここからが綺麗なのに」

夕日が沈むと、水平線が360度全てオレンジに染まる。

いわゆる黄昏時。

この時間が1番好きだ。

夕方と夜の、時間の狭間。世界が全て反転したような…時空の隙間に入り込んでしまったような…

自分1人世界に取り残された気がした

時空が歪んで、眩いネオンが一つもないような違う惑星に。

それも悪くない気がした

横石は今、宇宙飛行士になっていた
