そんな今日は香川の札所密集ゾーンをひたすら参拝しまくる。約40キロの歩行距離の中で9の札所を回るというお遍路の中でも最も密集しているゾーンだ。

横石自体9個のお寺を1日で回るのは初めてなので、どのくらい参拝の時間がかかるか分からなかったが、多分40キロは歩けて17時終了の納経にも間に合うでしょという謎の自信で78番の郷照寺まで行くことに

そして昨日は観音寺までは歩いて行ったので、そこまではご好意で送っていただき、観音寺駅から7時半頃にスタートだ。

観音寺駅ではインスタで応援してくださっている方が駆けつけてくれて、差し入れを頂いた

なんと神戸プリンや塩大福という高級デザートをたくさんいただいてしまった。朝ごはんの余りとしてもたせてもらったパンと一緒にこれで今日は昼ごはんも買わずに節約出来そうだ…ありがたいなぁ。

観音寺駅から歩いて5キロほどで今日最初の札所70番本山寺へ

境内も広く立派なお寺だ。朝の空気の中で気持ちよく参拝を済ませて次の71番弥谷寺へ向かう

弥谷寺は今日唯一の札所間12キロ離れたお寺なので2時間ほどかけていくことになる

だけどここで本堂を見ずに納経だけ済ませたら今までのお遍路の苦労の道筋が一気に壊れると思ったので

しっかり本堂まで上がった。

ある意味この葛藤にぶつかることこそ階段を上る以上の修行なのかもしれない。

そう考えると階段さえも愛おしくなって…は、くれなかった。

そんな弥谷寺を過ぎて、次の曼荼羅寺までは約4キロ

未舗装の山道を駆け下りて

72番曼荼羅寺へ到着。時刻はちょうど12時で参拝を済ませた後は73番出釈迦寺へ行くのだが、曼荼羅寺から出釈迦寺からは600mしか無く、しかもさらに次の74番甲山寺は曼荼羅寺から行った方が近い。

みかんやお菓子は食べ放題。梨も剥いてくれて、朝にはおにぎりを二つ持たせてくれるそうだ。他に泊ってる2人の方とかの宿を切り盛りされている入江夫妻と共に団らんしながら

近くのスーパーで安いビールと値下げの弁当を買って、ゆっくりした時間を過ごす。まるでおじいちゃんの家に帰ってきたような安心感で心が満たされる。

なんなら3000円くらい払ってもまだ足りないくらいのおもてなしを受けたのに、あとでこっそり「学生だから」と500円返金されてしまった。

実質500円でこの素晴らしい宿に泊まることになったのだ。本当に涙が出そうなくらい素晴らしい善根宿だ

そんな温かい布団に入りながら、眠くて目が半分開かない状態でブログを書いた横石でした

明日はいよいよ山を越えながら札所を5つ打って高松へ向かう。お遍路も残すところ後2日といったところになりそうだ。
