歩かない（徒歩日本縦断#86）

激動の24日間を挟んで結願してから一夜明け

標高500m弱ある88番大窪寺の目の前の東屋で野宿をしたが、今朝は4度まで気温が下がった。

おかげさまで夜は3時間おきに寒さで目が覚めて寝袋にくるまる。結願した夜だというのに酒の一滴も飲めない修行の夜だったが、それも今日の楽しみがあるから許せてしまった…

そう。今日は完全に自分へのご褒美の日だ。

お遍路で身も心も限界まで耐えて、煩悩にも打ち勝ってきた自分へのご褒美として、今日は香川に入っても我慢してきた本場讃岐のうどん屋巡りの「旅行」をする。「旅行」を。

なので今日は歩く気ゼロ。

朝も寒さで目が醒めるも7時まで寝袋にくるまって、それからテントを片付けてのんびりするという旅中ではあり得ないのんびりさで過ごした

そして朝9時。今回の旅行のお供をしてくれる、すーさんが迎えにきてくれた。

すーさんは香川は観音寺の方で、横石を車の運転中に見つけてから応援してくれてる女性の方だ。年も横石の2個上と近く、今日は「うどん屋巡り」という完全にミーハー観光心丸出しの横石に付き合ってくれるとのことで車で迎えにきてくれたのだ（もはや今までの横石の旅路を見て「歩けよ」と言う人はいないと思うけど、今日から徒歩日本縦断を再開するまでの3日間は完全にオフとしてのんびり観光を楽しみたいのです）

そんなすーさんの車に乗り込んで、まずは大窪寺から山を降りて10キロの場所にある「お遍路交流サロン」という場所へ。

ここは歩き遍路限定で、結願した人に「お遍路大使認定書」と「お遍路バッジ」を無料で発行してくれるのだ。

さっそくお邪魔するとまず目の前には

今まで歩いてきた四国の地の正確な地形図と札所の位置がジオラマで置いてある。無料の施設なのになんと言うクオリティか。

思わず「懐かしいなぁ」と「こんな道歩いてきたんだなぁ」と魅入ってしまう。すーさんにも興奮気味で話したけど若干引かれたかも笑

そしてお遍路に関する歴史が知れる遍路資料展示室ももちろん無料。

これに関しては今見れても嬉しいが、始める前に見てもこれから行くお遍路の旅がどんなものなのか知れるのでいいと思う。一番札所の霊山寺からもそう遠くないのでオススメだ。

そしていよいよお遍路大使任命証が発行される

じゃーーん！！

これで横石はお遍路を世界中に広まるという使命を背負ってしまったわけだ…

ちなみにそんなこと言っときながら発行自体は5分ほどで終わるので歩き遍路の人は是非立ち寄ってほしい。無料だし。無料だし…

そして

可愛いオリジナルバッジも頂いた。どこにつけようかな…バックパックにつけておこうかな

そんな思わず楽しいお遍路交流サロンをすーさんとともに満喫して、（無料でお茶やお菓子もお接待してくれるよ）いよいようどん屋巡りがスタートだ。

うどん屋巡りと言っても主に横石が行きたかったうどん屋を二つ巡る。

二つとも大好きな水曜どうでしょうでどうでしょう班が絶賛していたうどん屋で

一つが綾川町にある山越うどん

もう一つが八栗にある山田家だ

どちらも口コミ1000件以上で、本場讃岐の中でも「うどんと言ったらとりあえずここ！」と言える名店なので、是非行ってみたかったが、やはり距離も離れているので歩きだとなかなか立ち寄れなかった場所だ。ということでまずは山越うどんを目指して車を走らせる。すーさんが…笑

大窪寺から35キロほど、車だとわずか1時間弱で着いてしまう距離なのか…改めて文明のすごさを感じながら午前11時前に綾川の名店山越うどんへ。

山越はどうでしょう軍団を「キングオブ讃岐うどん」と唸らせた名店。

釜玉うどん発祥の地とも言われているので、やはりここは釜玉うどんをチョイス。そして隠れた名品が「じゃがいも天」らしいのでそれもトッピング。かけつゆは自分で好きな量だけかけるスタイルだ。

まず思ったのは、「コシ」と称される食べ応え

今まで食べていたうどんとは一線を画すそのコシは絶品の一言。そして濃いめのかけつゆとマッチする卵。全てがちょうどいいバランスで出来ていた。

そして意外だったのがじゃがいも天の美味さ

だしが染みていて、これだけでご飯3杯いけそうな美味さで、すーさんとともに唸った。

香川県民のすーさんも認める絶品うどんだった

そして次は高松の少し先にある八栗の「うどん屋本陣山田家」へ

どうでしょう好きな人は大泉洋がただ「美味い」と唸るシーンを見ては「マジで美味そうだなぁ」と思っていたところだろう。

念願叶って横石も「美味い」と唸る日が来たのだ

今回はぶっかけうどんの大を頼んだ

もう既にうどん3玉分だ

味は文句なし。うどんの邪魔を決してしない出汁の優しさがうどん本来の味を引き出してくれる。温かいので体の芯まで温まるのだ

ちなみにすーさんは「お腹いっぱい」とおでんを頼んでいたけど、それもお腹いっぱいになったらしく分けてもらった（半分以上食べた）のだがこのおでんがまた美味い。笑

白味噌との相性が抜群すぎて、思わず笑ってしまう美味さだった。

そして時刻もお昼を過ぎて山田屋はひっきりなしに人が訪れる。どうやら日曜日などは2時間待ちになるらしい…

お腹もそこそこに満たされたので、次はすーさんの行きたいところということでお洒落なパフェを食べに行くことに。

横石は普段の生活では甘いものは苦手な方だが、旅に出てからはむしろ甘いものを食べたいほどに好きになっているので大賛成で向かう

お店の名前はカタカナばっかで忘れたけど「香川にこんなお洒落なお店あるんか！」って感じのお店だ（失礼）

いざパフェを頼むと、これでもかというレベルのどでかいパフェがきた…

そしてデカさだけではなく、お菓子専門店なだけあって味も上品でたまらなく美味い。流石に食べきれないと思ったので二人で一つにしたが、それでもお腹いっぱいになるほど満足の美味しさだった。

そしてすーさんにはこの後本屋に付き合ってもらって、志度まで送ってもらいお別れ…

本当にお世話になりました！ありがとう！！

次東京に来た時は存分におもてなしをすると約束してお別れだ

そして志度には今日お世話になる東かがわ市にある「金魚ハウスさん」という方にお世話になる

こんな感じで、オランダ獅子頭という品種を大元となって保存伝承している有名な方で、その隠れ家に旅人を泊めてくださるのだ。

今回ツイッター経由でご招待いただいたので、お言葉に甘えてお邪魔することに。

なんと志度まで迎えに来てくださるというので、ありがたく車で東かがわ市に向かった

東かがわ市は徳島との県境にある、文字通り香川で一番東の町だ

夕凪の水面に風情のある漁港があり

歴史ある街並みがあり

そんな場所で今日はお世話になる

着いてからはまず地元の海鮮料理屋に連れて行っていただいた

東京ではまず見ることのないどでかいタイやハマチを生簀からとって捌く贅沢な定食をいただく

刺身に天ぷらと、本当に贅沢づくしの逸品

その刺身の厚さたるや、もはやステーキ肉を食べている気分だ。天ぷらのサクサク感もたまらないし、カニとワカメの酢の物も絶品。そしてなにより味噌汁に入ってるワカメまで歯ごたえがあって美味い。

「四国の最後は是非瀬戸内の美味しいもの味わっていってほしい」というありがたいお言葉に甘えて思う存分に味わってしまった…

そしてそのあとは地元の温泉に連れて行ってもらって3日ぶりの汚れを落とし、そのままスーパーでお酒を買って二人で飲んで熱く語りながら、今に至る

横石の旅の様子を普段見てくださっているみなさんならわかると思うが、この生活は普段の100倍くらい人間として贅沢で、まともな生活なのだ。本当に色んな方にお世話になって、お遍路の後のご褒美の1日を有意義に過ごせたわけだ。

すーさんも、金魚ハウスの中嶋さんも、本当にありがとうございます！

そして明日は午前中、金魚ハウスの作業を手伝いながら地元のうどん屋さんに連れて行っていただき、午後からはいよいよ本州岡山に戻ってこれまた応援してくださっている方にお世話になる。

予定としては明後日まではゆっくり観光する予定だ。たまにはこういうゆるゆるブログも悪くないだろう。書く方としては1日がゆるゆるだった分、多少見てる方が面白いかわからないが、まぁそこらへんは多めに見て欲しい
