自転車日本一周 1年目

四国の果ては日本の果て（re:日本一周#14）

14日目の今日から、カイトとの男2人四国一周旅が始まった

夜は徳島は阿南の道の駅なかがわで2人揃って野宿。

さぁ、裏の軒下でテント張るかぁ…とか思って「カイトー、テント張るぞー」って声をかけたら、「あ、俺テント持ってこなかったから寝袋敷いて寝るわww」って言ってた

いやお前どんだけワイルドやねんw

なんて思いながら2人して寝袋を並べて就寝

朝起きてカイトは

「夜ゲジゲジみたいな奴に這われて眠れなかったぁー」なんて呑気に言ってたけど、俺からしたら初野宿で寝袋敷いて寝るお前なんやねんってなった。よっぽど俺より肝が座ってた

そんな今日は四国の先っぽ。室戸岬へ向かって男2人で走る

14日目の道のり

室戸岬までは海沿いの国道55号をひたすら南下する。香川や徳島市街と違って、高知県に近づくにつれて道のりは一気に山道になっていった

2人して山道を走る

「朝飯は山を越えた次のコンビニで食べようぜー」なんて話しながら、それを楽しみに山を越えていたんだけど、四国の山深さは本州のそれとはレベルが違った。

いくら走っても山、やま、YAMA。

夏の日差しはだんだん強くなる

2人して汗をかきながら

走る、はしる、HASHIRU

水曜どうでしょうで大泉洋が

「四国は気づいたら絶景しかない」

なんて皮肉めいて言ってたけど

まぁその通り、なにもない絶景の道が続いた

これが四国の魅力かもしれない。

ダイレクトに感じる自然。

だけど、油断すると本当に絶景しかない場所になるから、満足に食べ物や水の補給もままならない。

やっとの思いで山を越えて、やっとの思いでコンビニで飯を食らう。

徳島の山にやられていたけど、少し元気を取り戻した2人は

高知県に入った

高知県は四国四県のうちで最も自然が豊かな県だ。徳島側から入ると、まずは海沿いの道に変化した

高知県の海はまさに「荒波」って感じの男らしい海だった

打ち寄せる波は岩に砕けて、潮の霧になって身体に降りかかる

そんな海沿いの道を走ると

当然現れる金色の田園風景と青い海だったり

山を越えて坂を下っていくと青い海が見えたり

岩壁に止まるトンビだったり

とにかく色んな顔を見せる高知を満喫

思わずカイトも満面の笑顔

2人とも山越えの連発でだいぶ疲れてたけど、ほれでもこんな自然の中を走っていれば、どこまでも走れそうな。そんな気持ちになれた

自転車を二台並べてパシャり。

二台並ぶとなんだか少し誇らしい

これからこのツーショットは3年間続くんだけど、この時はまだ少し見なれなかった

観光地なんかも2人いると楽しい

というか基本2人いると1人の時の3倍くらい楽しい。多分これが女の子だったら10倍くらい楽しい。

そんな高知の大自然を満喫しながら、

2人でお気に入りの音楽を流しながら、

気づけば室戸岬はすぐそこだった

室戸岬の「先っぽ感」はすごかった

青い海と青い空に険しい岩壁

日本にも色々な場所があるのは知ってるけど、それでもやっぱりこういう場所に来るたびに改めて日本の広さを知る。

クジラなんかもくるくらいに最果ての場所らしい。そんな場所に2人でこれたことにテンションが上がりながら、今日の野宿先の道の駅に向かう。

道の駅キラメッセ室戸に辿り着くと夕日が落ちかけてきた

道の駅から夕日が眺めれる贅沢な空間に感動してカイトに話しかけようとしたら

爆睡してた

あんなに笑顔だったけど、初日は疲れるよなやっぱり。改めて埼玉からわざわざ一緒に走るために来てくれたこの男に感謝した

明日はどこに行こうか

そう考えたらいつもより少しワクワクする。

そんな男2人旅の始まりだった…

徳島県阿南市→高知県室戸市

総走行距離 1727キロ
