いざ尋常に本州（徒歩日本縦断#23）

昨晩23時 函館から青森に向かう青函フェリーに乗り込む。

いよいよ長かった北海道ともお別れ。

ここから4時間の船旅の末、青森に行き着く

午前3時半

まるで密入国者のように、鳥さえ寝静まった青森に入国。

いよいよ長い長い徒歩日本縦断本州編が始まる

ここから意気揚々と歩き始めたいところだが、まぁまだ3時半だ。とてつもなく眠い。

そして今日は青森から日本縦断に2週間ほど同行してくれる映像のスペシャリスト、和希という男が青森駅に朝の9時半に着くのだ。

彼は徒歩日本縦断に参加しながら色々な美しい風景と旅をしている横石たちを撮影したい！と言ってくれた変わり者だ。

2週間という短い期間ではあるが、ここからはしばらく三人旅になる。

ということでそんな和希を青森駅で待つ為にも、駅近のネカフェで5時間ほど仮眠を取る

そして9時半。合流。

これからの東北のルートを決めるためにまずは作戦会議から始める

ルートの候補は3つ

①青＝日本海側の絶景ルート。1番遠回り

②赤＝内陸から能代で日本海側へ

③黄＝ひたすら内陸を歩いて秋田への最短ルート

そしてこのルートのどれかを選択するにあたって大事なのが天気。この先1週間の天気が安定していれば①を通って日本海の絶景を楽しみたいが、どうやら明後日以降しばらく秋雨前線が北上して雨予報。

③は味気なさすぎるので、②のルートを通って雨をしのぎながら能代から日本海側へ出るルートを選択しようという方向になった。

ということで今日は浪岡までの20キロを歩くことに。和希を迎え入れていたらスタートが12時になってしまったので今日は控えめだ

いよいよ本州を歩き始める

天気は今日明日までは晴れるそう。

「秋雨前線このやろう」という気持ちはあるが、ここは束の間の晴れを楽しもうではないか

青森の街を一瞬で抜けて国道7号線の脇ののどかな県道を歩き出す。

いい天気だ。文句無しの晴れ模様。

青森市街からわずか5キロも歩けば道は夏の道になる

本州の夏はやはり北海道とはちがう。

声鮮やかな蝉時雨に包まれ、細かく集落があり、のどかな里山が広がる

こういう風景は好きだ。出会ったことのない風景のはずなのにどこか懐かしくなるから

多分それは、日本人が昔から営んできた自然と密着した里山暮らしのDNAが脈々と今の横石たちにも刷り込まれているからのような気がする。だから人は里山や棚田の風景を見て懐かしいような、どこか帰ってきたような気持ちになるんじゃないか。

この広い野原いっぱい咲く花を
１つ残らずあなたにあげる

奥羽本線沿いののどかな夏を楽しみ、ゆっくり歩く。

するとおばあちゃんたちに声をかけられる

「どこから来た？」と

「歩いて旅してます」と答えると

「トマトやるから待ってろ」

と言っておもむろに家庭菜園？の畑からトマトを大量にくれる

一口かじる

甘い。染み渡る。

次は冷たいコーラとトウモロコシをもらう。

美味しい。力が湧いてくる。

そんなおばあちゃんおじいちゃんと道端に座って話す。

正直半分ほど方言がきつくて聞き取れない部分もあったけど、それでも温かい笑顔で「孫のようだ」と話してくれる

まるで「おかえりなさい」と言ってくれているような笑顔で

はい、ちーずは老若男女えがおになるよ

「あれ？ここでも横石のDNAは繋がってるのかな？」

懐かしい気持ちで胸がいっぱいになった

りんごジュースも別のおばあちゃんからもらった。これ本当に美味しい。東京にあったら誰か爆買いしといて下さい。お金は後で渡します。

夏と秋の境目
見てはいけないものを見てしまった
なぜか温泉の出る水道

束の間の夏を感じながら歩く

今日は20キロしか歩かないし、和希が初めてだからなるべくゆっくり…

おかげで色んな夏がみれた

明日はどんな夏が待ってるのだろうか…

青森県青森市→浪岡
