旅人よ（徒歩日本縦断#105）

105日目の今日は大村市のネカフェで起床

快活最強。久しぶりのネカフェだったけど、やっぱり熟睡度が違うぜ。漫画読んじゃって6時間しか寝れなかったけど疲労はしっかり回復した

そんな今日は43キロ歩いて島原半島は小浜温泉まで向かう

快活クラブは朝食が食べ放題無料なので、しっかり英気を養って午前7時半過ぎに出発

快晴の天気の中を諫早島原方面へ

大村市から諫早間は国道沿いの市街地を歩くので15キロほどは朝の通学生を見ながらのんびり進む

唯一大村から諫早に抜けるまでに標高150mほどの鈴田峠という峠があるが、緩く登るので難なく登り切って諫早へ

そして九州はやはりこの季節でも昼間で日差しが出ていれば動くと暑くなるのでノースリーブだ。最近ようやくノースリーブになる基準が分かってきたけど、太陽が出て風もそこまで強くなければ気温15度以上。曇りであれば20度以上あればノースリーブが心地いい。

実際上にウェアを着るより、ノースリーブの方が体の可動域が広がって歩きが軽くなる気がするので、暖かいのは正義なのだ。

相変わらず市街地の諫早。人が多い分色んな方に声をかけてもらえる。

「どこからきたとー？」のセリフが第二の故郷が長崎の横石は聞き慣れたイントネーションで安心感が生まれるのが不思議なものだ。

20キロ歩いて諫早市街に出たところでお昼ご飯。親戚の家で持たせてもらったゆで卵をパチンコ屋の駐車場の隅で剥きながら食べる。まさか22歳の大学四年生にもなってパチンコ屋の隅で一心不乱にゆで卵を剥く人生とは思わなかった。

ちなみに歩きながら剥いていたら黄身だけ落としたので良い子のみんなは歩きながらゆで卵は剥かないようにしようね

諫早市街を抜けて島原方面へ、ここからは100m級の中サイズ峠を3個ほど越えていく

美味しそうなうろこ雲がプカプカ浮かぶ秋の空を眺めながら、のんびりと

目の前には雲仙普賢岳が聳える

御嶽山の噴火までは雲仙普賢岳の噴火が43人の死者を出した戦後最大の噴火であり、今なお生きている地球を象徴する火山だ。やはり目の前にこういった山が聳えると勇ましい冒険に旅立つ勇者みたいな気持ちになるのは横石だけかな

そして峠を二つ越えて雲仙市に入ると、変わった風景が目につくようになる

どこの土も、これでもかというほどの赤土に変わるのだ。日本有数の火山地帯ならではの光景なのだろうか。とにかく風景が一気にディズニーのビックサンダーマウンテンになるのだ。

千々石（ちぢわ）に入ると「世界一高い門松」と上りの立つ神社があったが、それは門竹じゃないの？？なんで突っ込みたくなる珍風景も楽しみながら

道中に現れる日本の棚田百選も堪能して、最後の峠を越えて17時過ぎに43キロをクリアして目的地へ

ここ小浜温泉は「熱量日本一」と謳われる温泉街だ。街中至る所に湯気が昇り硫黄の匂いが漂ってくる。

そしてここでは、スペシャルゲストと合流

同じ大学で今自転車日本一周をしているヨツこと四柳が奇跡の長崎にいるということで今日はここ小浜温泉で合流しようやということになったのだ

ヨツは去年「自転車で日本一周したいんだよね話を聞かせて！」とその当時すでに日本一周していた横石に声をかけてくれて、その後大学が終わって飲みに行ったりしながら2人で旅について熱く語った、ある意味戦友だ。

あの時は大都会東京で夢を語り合ってた2人が今こうやってそれぞれの旅路に出て、遠く離れた長崎の地で再会する。なんと浪漫が溢れることか。これこそ旅のロマンであり、男のロマンと言い切れる。

そして他にもフランス人チャリダーのジョーという旅人もここ小浜温泉に来ていたので、3人で地元の方に愛され続けている源泉掛け流しの公衆浴場に浸かり（150円で入れる）

ちゃんぽんをたらふく食べて（リンガーハットだろうがなんだろうが長崎で食べるのはちゃんぽんって相場は決まってる）

野宿する温泉街の公園で3人で乾杯

いつもは怖い野宿も3人いれば怖くない。

なにより国境も超えた旅人たちで囲む酒の場が楽しくないはずはない。

外国から来て日本を旅するジョーだからこそ感じた日本の良さ、課題や、単純に旅に対する情熱を熱く語り合ってそのまま就寝。

旅人よ。終わりのない道のりにそれぞれ何を感じ考え、進んでいくんだろうか。この旅路に終わりはあれど果てはあるのか…
