128日目！台風のち夏

128日目の今日は、道の駅さんりくの東屋で起床！

壮絶な夜だった

台風21号は想像以上だったんだ

午後10時ごろ、風が強まる

テントは地震のように揺れて、眠りから覚める。

午後11時ごろ、ここがピークか？！って思うほどに風が強くなる

テントは45度に折れながらも耐えて、自分自身も恐怖と戦いながら耐える。この頃、台風は隣の県の秋田に上陸していて、あと1時間ほど耐えれば抜けるのではと思って自分を励ます。

午前1時。台風が離れたころに本当のピークが来た。雨はテントを殴りつけて、中に侵入。

風でテントはほぼ90度にへし折れて、テントに潰されて息が苦しい。でも耐えた、ひたすら耐えた。多分カイトも耐えてた。

そして風が弱まって収まっていく…と同時にそれにも気づかないレベルで2人とも眠りについた。

朝起きた時の喜びといったらそれはもうすごかったぁ。

普通に起きれることがどれだけありがたいか。ほんとに長い夜だった

そんな今日はまず三陸峠を越える

朝のうちは台風一過！というわけでもなく、小雨。だけどなんとか今日一番の峠を乗り切る

三陸峠を下って大船渡市街に入ると雨が強まって、少し雨宿り。

30分ほど経っても止まないので、濡れる覚悟を決めてまた走り出す

そしたら

晴れて来た！！！

台風の後の青空はほんとに格別だ

その嬉しさで峠を越えて

陸前高田市に入る。

峠を下りて陸前高田市街に向かうと、そこには壮絶な景色があった

景色というか、町がないんだ。

ほんとにほんとに町がないんだ

言葉が出なかった。ここまで全てが無くなったんだと実感した

でもね、全てが流された町で勇ましく立つ、一本の木がそこにはあった

「奇跡の一本松」

そう名付けられたこの松は、元は7万本あった高田松原の一本だった

だけどあの日、全てが流され、7万本あった松もほとんどが流された。

その中で一本だけ、ほんとに一本だけ立ち続ける木がそこにあった

人はこの木を「奇跡の一本松」と言って復興のシンボルとなっている

実際、この場所に来て鳥肌がたった

言語化できないこの感情。

勇ましくもどこか切なく、愛おしかった。

復興を望む町に一羽の鳥が止まった

きっと大丈夫。勇ましく羽ばたこう

 

陸前高田市を越えると、舞台はいよいよ宮城県だ

リアス式海岸のアップダウンに苦しめられて、復興が進む町に様々な感情を貰った岩手県

宮城ではどんな冒険が待ってるかな

宮城に入ってすぐ待っていたのは、台風一過の夏だった

台風で濡れた草が蒸れながら乾く匂いが海風に乗って漂ってくる

夕立の後の森の匂いに似ている

坂を登って海の方を見ると、夏がパノラマしてた。

どこまでも飛んでいけそうな空してた。

気仙沼に着くと、溜まった洗濯物を回しながら昼ごはんを食べて休憩

そしてまた走り出すと、とにかく気温が上がった。

一気に30度を超えた。

30度越えを味わったのは1ヶ月ぶり以上だ。この蒸し暑さと吹き出す汗も旅の醍醐味だったなぁ。

流石の暑さに、自販機で休憩

ボタンを押そうとすると

可愛い奴がいた。

しばらく腕で遊ばせてた。

達者でな、暑さで干からびるなよ。

気仙沼からは少し海沿いを離れて、内陸を走ってみた

海には海の匂いがあって色がある

だけど田んぼには田んぼの匂いもあって色もある。

どっちも好きだけど、走ってて落ち着くのはどこにでもある里山を抜ける後者の道だと思う。

蝉しぐれを両側に聴きながら、ルンルンで進むよ

川と一緒に走る

そろそろ日暮れだ。

入道雲に隠された太陽が名残惜しそうだった。

今日は温泉付きの道の駅で野宿だ

3日ぶりの温泉で疲れも汚れも落とせた。

明日はどんな冒険が待ってるかな

夏に負けずに走ってこう
